Situation
Life Itself is a collective working to seed a second renaissance: a civilisational paradigm shift, the hospicing of the old world and birthing of the new. It has been building this work for several years and has meaningful assets:
- ~2,400 Life Itself newsletter subscribers; ~1,100 Seeds of the Second Renaissance subscribers
- Active Instagram and social presence
- Multiple brands: Life Itself, Second Renaissance, Over the Mountains
- Hubs, residencies, whitepapers, essays, podcast, courses
Complication
Communications are fragmented and unfocused:
- Multiple overlapping brands and channels with no clear hierarchy or division of labour
- Life Itself mixes "lived practice / daily life" content with "ideas and vision" content — confusing to outside audiences
- Second Renaissance has no sharp, repeatable identity: no clear 1–2 line message, no tagline that lands in 10 seconds
- Communication energy is split rather than concentrated
- The most compelling and scalable work — the ideas, the vision, the art — has no dedicated home with a clear voice
Question
How do we focus and clarify our communications so that the most important work — the Second Renaissance vision — reaches the people it's for, and so that Life Itself's daily practice work finds its right place?
Hypothesis
Concentrate primary communications energy on Second Renaissance as a distinct brand: ideas and art for a world being reborn. Give it a sharp, repeatable message and a clear channel strategy (Instagram → newsletter → website → deeper engagement).
Let Life Itself become a secondary, more personal channel — the daily practice, the building, the behind-the-scenes — rather than the main public-facing brand.
The immediate work is: nail the 10-second identity for Second Renaissance. Everything else (channels, content, growth) follows from that clarity.
Open questions
- Belonging vs learning as primary Instagram hook — which is primary? (Leave open for now)
- Tone and aesthetic — Aurelio to advise
- Exact channel consolidation (Instagrams, Substacks, websites) — detail layer, separate SCQA needed
